Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. A graduate of Evergreen State College, he moved to Seattle to visit his unique perspective upon the city’s consciousness. Afro is also a photojournalist and community leader and has studied and learned about the native community in his undergraduate program “ Bella Bella or Bust”. During his time at The Evergreen State college he learned how to analyze the images of American Indian people in cinema and how they have influenced the understanding/misunderstanding of their culture and history.
